What the plugin does
Public Circles is an email marketing and automation platform. This WordPress plugin keeps your WordPress contacts in sync with your Public Circles audience so campaigns, triggers, and segments stay current.
User and customer sync
Sync WordPress users to Public Circles contacts. WooCommerce billing and shipping fields are used for enrichment when WooCommerce is present.
Automatic or manual
Enable automatic sync on user create and update, or run a manual batch sync for large catalogs.
Reliable delivery
Failed webhook deliveries go into a durable retry queue. Admins can inspect request and response logs.
Secure by default
Bearer API key authentication. The API key is encrypted at rest with OpenSSL AES-256-GCM.
WooCommerce optional
WooCommerce is not required. Every WordPress user can sync. Store data is added only when it exists.
Your Public Circles project
Connect with your project API URL, API key, and optional Project ID from Public Circles → Webhooks.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.0 or newer
- PHP 8.2 or newer
- A Public Circles project API key
- Outbound HTTPS access to the Public Circles API
WooCommerce is optional.
Install and connect
- Install the Public Circles plugin from the WordPress plugin directory, or upload the official ZIP.
- Activate it under Plugins.
- Open Public Circles → Settings.
- Enter your API URL (for example
https://api.publiccircles.com/webhooks/company-contacts), API key, and optional Project ID. - Enable Sync, or use Manual Sync for a one-time push.
Privacy
This plugin sends user contact data — name, email, phone, and related profile fields — to the Public Circles API endpoint you configure. Review your privacy policy and obtain any required consent before enabling sync.

Yes. The API key is encrypted at rest with OpenSSL AES-256-GCM using keys derived from WordPress authentication salts.
